You need to make sure the color you pick suits the look you are going for. If you want a subtle look then the color should only be a couple of shades lighter than your natural hair color. Whereas if you want something more bold then you should be aiming for a hair color that is vastly different from your natural hair color. You should also take your natural skin coloring into account and pick a color that will suit you.
